Jeannie Day, 81, died on October 21, 2026 at Concord Hospital‑Laconia.
She was born on October 15, 1945 in Laconia to Irene Carrigan and Lawrence Ryan, and was later adopted by Leon and Marion Fortier of Gilford.
Day worked many jobs, most notably for Dunkin’ Donuts, where she served regular customers for years, and she enjoyed time at Old Orchard Beach with her late husband Norman and daughter Tammy.
She is survived by her daughter Tammy Howe and husband Jayson Sinclair, sister Sandra LaPierre and husband Rocky, sister‑in‑law Tammy Ryan, two grandsons Matt Sinclair and Shawn Sinclair, two great‑grandchildren Sophie Sinclair and Isla Sinclair, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norman, her parents, brother Sonny Ryan, sisters Mary Swormsteadt and Judy Ryan, nephew Cody Ryan, and four other relatives.
The family has arranged a private graveside burial in the spring at Bayside Cemetery, and the Wilkinson‑Beane‑Simoneau‑Paquette Funeral Home is handling arrangements; an online memorial is available at wilkinsonbeane.com.
