Capuano and Moore captured the Ivy League Qualifier doubles championship with a flawless 4‑0 record, earning a spot in the ITA Conference Masters. Their victory took place at Columbia University from October 23 to 25.
They opened the tournament by beating Penn’s Stojanovski and Saw 8‑4, then won the quarterfinal 8‑5 over Brown’s Maguy and Yang, and closed the semifinal with a 7‑5, 6‑1 victory over Yale’s Aggarwal and Liu.
Coach Bob Dallis noted that their stylistic compatibility and extensive doubles experience made them a strong pair, and he urged them to maintain energy levels between sets.
Moore said the excitement of playing for the title amid other top Ivy teams was heightened by the continued support of her teammates, while Capuano emphasized the deep trust developed from four years of partnership.
Being the top seed brought pressure, but both players said prior experience gave them confidence and a sense of belonging on court.
Capuano added that balancing singles and doubles is manageable, and Dallis described their contrasting personalities as complementary, creating a positive on‑court dynamic.
Their immediate goal at the Conference Masters in Rome, Ga., is to qualify for the NCAA tournament.
Capuano and Moore said they plan to savor every moment of their final season, reflecting on a rewarding three‑year experience with Dartmouth women’s tennis.
