Causeway Hospital has reached the milestone of serving more than 3,000 patients with its new MRI scanner, which became operational in October 2025.
Since its launch, the scanner has performed over 4,500 diagnostic examinations for more than 3,000 patients, and the 3,000th patient, Charmaine Dunlop, said the local service eliminates the need for long transfers.
Hospital officials say the rapid access improves patient outcomes, reduces pressure on ambulance services, and supports the Trust’s goal of making Causeway a diagnostic hub for the North‑West region.
