A private Learjet 60 crashed in Palm Beach County, Florida, killing all nine people aboard and creating a large crater near a mobile home park.

The aircraft, a 22‑year‑old twin‑engine Learjet 60 registered to a Delaware LLC, had taken off from Austin‑Bergstrom International Airport in Texas and was en route to the Bahamas when pilots reported severe turbulence, icing and temperatures of –47 °C, requested a climb of 2,000 feet, and then entered a rapid descent of up to 30,000 feet per minute before crashing nose‑first.

All on board, including two crew members and seven passengers, were killed; one pilot was identified as 20‑year‑old Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, who earned her license at 17. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said no one on the ground was injured, and the road near the site was closed while the NTSB and FAA began their investigations.
