Dartmouth upset No. 13 Harvard 24‑14 on Friday night, marking its first victory over the Crimson since 2021 and giving the Big Green a share of the Ivy League lead. The game was played at Buddy Teevens Memorial Stadium during Halloween weekend, with a packed house of Dartmouth fans.
The defense forced five interceptions, including a leaping grab by linebacker Sean Chester and two picks by defensive back Cameron Best‑Alston, while also stopping Harvard on fourth down near the goal line. Those plays halted Harvard’s comeback attempts and sealed the lead for Dartmouth.
Quarterback Greyson Saunier opened the scoring with a rushing touchdown and later delivered a shovel‑pass to running back Dylan Elder, who combined with Jacob Henry for 218 rushing yards. Their ground dominance helped the Big Green build a commanding early lead.
Coach Sammy McCorkle said the team embraced an attack mode all week, and the victory lifted Dartmouth to 4‑3 overall and 3‑1 in the Ivy League. The win puts the Big Green in position to contest the conference title and a playoff berth before they travel to Princeton next week.
