John A. Valliere, a 79‑year‑old veteran who lived on Winter Street in Laconia, passed away on October 15, 2026 at Concord Hospital.
Born on April 2, 1947, he was the son of Arthur J. Valliere and Mary G. (Levoy) Valliere and grew up in Gilford in a modest home without indoor plumbing. He served in the U.S. Air Force until 1972, after which he worked at IPC in Bristol, married Mary (Monroe) Valliere in 1972, and raised a son, John R. Valliere, born in 1974. Later he was employed by Harry Bean and Sons and Hebert’s Foundry, attended church with his wife, and dedicated his life to his faith, witnessing to others about Jesus.
He is survived by his son John, his wife Lori, four step‑grandchildren, his sister Daisy, his brother‑in‑law David Rand, several nieces, nephews and great‑nieces and great‑nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 13, at Bayside Cemetery, and family and friends are invited to attend. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, and the Wilkinson‑Beane‑Simoneau‑Paquette funeral home is handling the arrangements.
