Jane Morrissey Pratt, a longtime educator and devoted mother from Canterbury, New Hampshire, passed away on October 28, 2026. She was married to John Sullivan Pratt for 57 years and raised three children in Canterbury.
Pratt earned degrees from the University of New Hampshire and Lesley University and spent her career teaching fifth and sixth grades at Canterbury and Belmont elementary schools, emphasizing independent thinking. Known for her fiercely independent, outspoken, and quick‑witted nature, she enjoyed family dinners, travel, reading, cooking, and time with friends.
She is survived by her husband John, children Kerry, Rebecca and Ben with their spouses, grandchildren Julia, Willa and Colton, and brother Brian Morrissey; her parents preceded her in death. A visitation will be held Monday, November 2, at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord.
